Integrative Care and End-of-Life Doula, Reiki Master, Somatic Bodywork Practitioner

Danielle Thornton has worked in the medical, long-term care, and end-of-life care settings for more than 10 years and found that these environments can create stress and discomfort for people who are already facing a challenging experience.
She wanted to help, but first needed to find a way to manage her own trauma, stress, and unease. This prompted her extensive journey of self-healing through the study of Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama (breath work), Somatic Bodywork, Mindfulness, Energy Medicine, and Reiki.Through these modalities, she has uncovered a renewed authenticity, balance, and fulfillment. Now it’s her hope to share the transformative power of these practices with clients through working with each person’s unique needs.
The Role of an Integrative Care Doula
Danielle provides support for integrative healing for clients to move through life’s challenges with greater ease. She serves those who are undergoing medical treatment for an illness, in a life transition, experiencing trauma, in bereavement, or facing the end of life, or those who want to improve their overall health and wellness. She can meet each person where they are in their process to ensure their unique needs are met.
Through ancient wisdom and scientifically proven practices, Danielle’s supportive services help to restore balance to the nervous system and energy body, relieve physical tightness and unease, effectively process emotional energy, and calm the mind.
Danielle believes that through learning to connect deeply with our breath, energy, and bodies, we can better understand the interplay of how trauma, emotions, and thoughts affect our overall health and well-being. Her intention is to be a safe space, teacher, and guide who allows clients to explore finding comfort in their own bodies and tap into their inner potential for healing and growth.
